SSP Audio Sessions

What is the SSP?

The SSP (Safe and Sould Protocol) was designed by the neurologist Stephen Porges, who developed the polivagal theory, which allowed unprecedented understandings in embodied therapies and the mind-body relationhip. 

The SSP is not only about listening to music, but to listen and perceive your body while you listen to filtered music that will help your body feel safe again. When you give space and time to your body to perceive itself being safe, it achieves a natural, potent, and deep regulation and more wellness every time.  ​​

Do you really want to release stress?

It is necessary to learn how to give regulation to your body.

What is regulation?

Autonomous physiological movements and adjustments of the body that bring it back to an adequate balance in its functions. 

How to make my body do these adjustments?

In many ways. One is through regulation of the vagus nerve by an auditory pathway. 

In what does the SSP consist?

Listening to 10 sessions of filtered music that help your nervous system feel safe again. 

Can I listen to one or two sessions only?

No. The benefit of the sessions is obtained form listening the the sessions. Hence we offer it as a package. 

What does the basic package include?

  • Intro session

  • 10 sessions throughout a month

  • Weekly follow up

  • Possibility to extend the program to 30 or 60 days. 

Who is this for?

Anyone. This protocol has been proven in persons with post-traumatic stress, people within the neuro-divergent spectrum, with autism, with a lot of life-stress, and athletes and high performace persons. 

What are the benefits?

Physiological regulation and learing to perceive your body and the adjustments that it achieves on its own. Some of our patients have reported:

  • Deeper breathing

  • Longer exhalations

  • Breathing with the belly

  • More salivation

  • Shoulder tension release

  • Jaw release

  • Space between the eyebrows release

  • Tension around the eyes release

How does it work?

Easier than you think. It is a combination of three aspects: 

  • Listening filtered music (10 to 15 half-hour sessions)

  • Learning to give space and time for embodied regulation in a safe environment. 

  • Follow the protocol and your sessions while being in contact with us. 

What do I need to start?

Headphones, but not surrounding or earbud headphones. 

When can I start?

As soon as you have the space ready, the headphones and your registration on the app of your phone. Today if you want to. 

Where can I do my sessions? 

In your safest place. 

 

At what moment of the day is it suggested?

Lets have a talk about it. 

How long does it take to finish all the sessions of the SSP? 

About a month. 

 

Can I combine these sessions with my therapy?

Yes, definitely. In fact, it is recomended. The SSP is an excelent buddy of the somatic Experiencing sessions and together they improve the well-being results in the body.
